About the role
- Administration of the entire Monitoring/Observability environment - Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry;
- Build and maintain dashboards in Grafana;
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing environments (Azure, AWS and/or GCP);
- Knowledge of VMWare environments;
- Knowledge of database environments (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL);
- Provide operational support from a monitoring/observability standpoint for cloud-hosted mission-critical systems;
- Handle incidents escalated by the support team that are related to monitoring/observability;
- Provide advisory support in Public Cloud projects;
- Support all aspects of the service lifecycle through configuration, change, service, incident and problem management based on industry best practices (ITIL);
- Support internal teams including support, deployment, SecOps, DevOps and consultants;
- Identify issues and implement necessary fixes to the client environment;
- Perform root cause analysis and prepare RCAs;
- Execute and/or validate technical procedures;
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher (degree certificate required);
- Experience working with Cloud Computing in previous roles;
- Experience in cloud environments working in support and/or administration roles;
- Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, APMs such as Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog);
- Advanced knowledge of networking (routing, VPNs, firewall rules);
- Advanced knowledge of operating systems (Linux and/or Windows);
- Advanced knowledge of cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP);
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, IaC - Terraform, API Management, API Gateway, Storage Account, etc.);
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (incidents, requests, problems and changes);
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, shell scripting, Python);
- Conversational English and/or Spanish (preferred);
- Minimum certifications: Zabbix; Microsoft AZ-900 - Azure Fundamentals or AWS Cloud Practitioner or GCP Fundamentals; Microsoft AZ-104 - Azure Administrator or AWS SysOps - Associate or GCP Associate Cloud Engineer;
- Desired certifications: ITIL Foundation; Microsoft Azure AZ-303 and/or AZ-304 (Azure Architect) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or GCP Professional Cloud Architect;
