About the role
- Responsible for engaging new and re-energizing existing Managing General Agent (MGA) relationships via sales and marketing tactics
- Delivers significant sales & revenue growth within 24 months
- Develop specific plans to execute on the MGA strategies that drive significant new revenue growth
- Develop and analyze strategic drivers for profitability on existing accounts
- Drive strategic methods to expand the number of relationships currently working with Trustmark
- Develop targeted methods to build strategic relationships with key decision makers within MGA and National Brokerage firms
- Act as day-to-day liaison with MGA Principals and National Brokerage Leads for product knowledge and our sales processes
- Collaborate with marketing team to implement successful promotions and campaigns
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree preferably in a business-related area
- 10+ years of Group Medical and Employee Benefits experience
- Proven ability to establish and maintain mutually respectful relationships
- Previous experience managing a General Agency channel relationship
- Possesses superb interpersonal and communications skills
- Working knowledge of CRM Systems
- Working knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint software
- Willingness to travel 25 – 75% of time (depending on home location)
