Salary
💰 £32,000 - £46,000 per year
About the role
- Campaign build and optimisation: Set up, QA and optimise campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads and more. Maintain naming, UTMs and hygiene.
- Data analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis, combining multiple sources (not just in-platform data), to help the team make better strategic and tactical decisions.
- Experimentation: Run A/B tests on copy, creative, audience and bid strategies. Maintain a test log with hypotheses, outcomes and actions.
- Process and QA: Own pre-flight and post-flight checklists. Keep documentation, playbooks and issues trackers up to date.
- Market and platform awareness: Stay current on platform changes, policies and tactics. Suggest small pilots when a change is material.
- Budget pacing: Monitor daily pacing, surface risks and opportunities, propose reallocations by channel, campaign or geo.
- Measurement and tracking: Ensure pixels, events and conversions are firing. Keep UTMs consistent and dashboards aligned to a single source of truth.
- Write performance reports: Produce written performance snapshots with clear insight analysis and next steps.
- Research & ideation: Turn customer insight, search query data and broader industry/competitor research into keyword themes, audience hypotheses and creative testing opportunities across search, video and social.
- Creative strategy & concepting: Develop hypothesis-led creative briefs and manage a prioritised ideas backlog.
Requirements
- Paid media proficiency: You know how to use various paid media platforms. You’re able to set up campaigns, troubleshoot technical issues and have experience with larger, scale-up sized media budgets.
- Confident with data: You have experience working with data and in-house Data teams. You’re aware of relevant analytical concepts and how we can (and can’t) measure the impact of marketing. You are enthusiastic about learning more about how to self-serve your own analytics and ideally have experience using BI tools like Looker or Tableau, rather than just using in-platform / GA data.
- Experience working with creative teams: you’ve written creative briefs before and collaborated hand-in-hand with creative teams to ideate, test and iterate on creative concepts that drive performance objectives.
- Excellent verbal & written communicator: you can translate complex domain-specific concepts to non-experts and understand the level of detail/context that is required for different audiences. You’re able to contribute to C-suite level written analysis of channel performance.
- T-shaped marketer: Alongside specialising in your field, you ideally have some exposure to other areas of marketing, enabling effective collaboration and contribution to multi-channel strategies.
- Thrive in ambiguity: You’re comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-moving environment that is constantly evolving.
- Driven & curious: You want to understand how and why things work (or why they don’t). You proactively seek out ways to improve performance, challenge assumptions and strive to take things to the next level.
- Bias to action and impact: You value shipping fast over polishing endlessly - not because you cut corners, but because you optimise for learning and iteration.
- Commercially conscious: You’re curious about how a business makes money, and want to know how you and other teams contribute to growing it.
- Constantly learning: You’re always seeking to develop your skillset, both within your role and in adjacent areas. You stay up-to-date with recent trends, seeking to operate at the forefront of your field consistently as it evolves.
- Bonus if you have...: Experience working in a variety of business environments, particularly within fast-paced start/scale-ups, marketing agencies, marketplaces, travel or pets. Proficiency with data exploration tools – e.g. using Looker Explores to analyse data and enthusiasm for learning some basic SQL. Exposure to using behavioural science techniques to connect with audiences.
