About the role

  • Provide end-user support for HRIS-specific issue resolution.
  • Provide analysis, requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and migration of changes from demo to production for multiple functional areas of the HRIS.
  • Work with SMEs, senior leaders, business unit experts and other HR areas to develop, improve and configure business processes, security settings, basic and advanced report setups and final configurations to meet the HRIS need of the business and to improve employee experience.
  • Review and test vendor software updates.
  • Review new features of software to support corporate strategy and align software to our needs.
  • Act as HRIS SME and implementer for enterprise-wide or cross-functional projects, including mergers/acquisitions or other confidential projects.
  • Implement new features of the HRIS software to meet changing business requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance to the business related to changing features resulting from software updates.
  • Partner with IT staff on effects of configuration/data changes on IT databases and other IT-owned systems.
  • Create and maintain job aids specific to assist end users with self-service items in the system.
  • Stay current on new functionality/offerings from vendor(s), and HRIS technology trends.
  • Drive system optimization and enhancement initiatives by collaborating with HR department leads to identify automation opportunities, improve user experience, and develop strategic roadmaps that align HRIS capabilities with business objectives.
  • Provide governance and oversight of HRIS, including data and data security.
  • Ensure alignment between process and technology to ensure all changes support goals.
  • Train/mentor team members with less experience.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, business or related field or work experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience as HRIS consultant required.
  • Workday experience preferred.
  • Proficient in seven or more of these HRIS functional areas: HCM (e.g., Staffing/Jobs/Organizations, Time off and Leave, Worker data, Onboarding), Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Performance, Recruiting, Payroll, Security, Integrations, Reporting.
  • Strong consulting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas/information related to systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing positive, proactive communications.
  • Strong familiarity with Cloud-based software concepts and business process modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, logically, tactfully, and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • Experience with agile methodology in project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced Excel preferred.
