About the role
- Process a high volume of invoices for assigned vendors efficiently and timely
- Analyze AP transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting practices
- Maintain and reconcile Accounts Payable ledger for assigned vendors
- Analyze and resolve invoicing problems or discrepancies in billings and payments
- Assist in pulling information for financial and tax audit requests
- Respond to vendor inquiries timely
- Responsible for month-end activities that include, but are not limited to, invoice accrual listings, review of vendor aging & reconciliations of vendor statements
- Communicate effectively and professionally in email and all other correspondence
- Special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Requires 2-4 years of related experience
- Experience with processing a high volume of invoices
- Must be able to organize and prioritize daily duties appropriately
- Some experience with vendor account reconciliations preferred
- Experience with purchase orders and 3-way match preferred
- Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal departments and external customers
- Must possess a customer-service mindset
- Prior SAP experience is a plus
- Experience with the MS Office Suite software; experience in Excel is a must
- Ability to complete assignments within established time frames and specifications
- Must follow standard operating procedures and compliance standards
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
