About the role
- Serve as the central corporate communications leader responsible for growing awareness and building a reputation for the Truist Technology, Data, & Operations function.
- Develop internal and external communications strategy for the TD&O function, including proactive PR, internal communications, leadership message development, spokesperson training and issues management.
- Provide communications counsel to TD&O leaders to effectively communicate key corporate, business priorities and issues internally.
- Work closely with all aspects of the Corporate Communications function to integrate the TD&O narrative and further the Truist story with key audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and fifteen years of communications experience, or equivalent education and related training or experience
- Experience supporting the communication needs of C-level executives
- Ability to collaborate, negotiate with and influence peers and senior leaders
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong writing skills and news judgment
- Experience leading a team of professional-level contributors
- Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and awareness of the market and regulatory factors that affect the industry
