IT Support

• Own internal IT infrastructure architecture, roadmap planning, and modernization strategies
• Manage, mentor, and develop the Infrastructure Operations Engineer
• Establish KPIs, manage performance, and design the operational structure for future team expansion
• Lead internal IT security hardening, access controls, patch management, and critical risk mitigation approvals
• Drive vendor strategy, negotiate service contracts, and optimize infrastructure spend
• Supervise and maintain the physical and virtual footprint at the Malta Data Centre
• Oversee administration, upkeep, and compliance monitoring of CESOP, SWIFT, SEPA, and BOL systems
• Administer and optimize hypervisors, Active Directory/domain structures, and server health
• Maintain network configurations, firewalls, corporate VPN services, CCTV, alarm systems, and HikCentral Access Control integrations
• Serve as final escalation point and incident commander for critical IT and infrastructure disruptions
• Design, test, and implement high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
• Oversee Checkmk monitoring for certificates, server metrics, network health, and automated alerts
• Automate routine workflows using Jira, scripts, and internal tooling
• Lead infrastructure audits and technical execution of PCI-DSS remediation and security/risk requests
• Manage onboardings, offboardings, and hardware lifecycle management via Snipe-IT across European and South African teams
