Play a critical role in supporting our client’s Web Services program.
Focus on Linux system administration, configuration management, and operational support for digital solutions.
Work closely with the Technical Lead, Client Product Owner, and development team.
Perform Linux system administration, including configuration updates, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Manage server configurations, firewall rules, and FTP data exchanges.
Respond to operational alerts and incidents as part of an on-call rotation.
Support Agile and Scrum sprint activities by implementing configuration changes and system updates.
Document system changes, configurations, and release updates.
Support Drupal 11 environments through configuration updates, smoke testing, and basic development tasks.
Coordinate with developers and testers to validate deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure secure configurations.
Assist with environment migrations, automation, and monitoring using tools such as New Relic, Splunk, and Akamai.
Collaborate with leadership to analyze bot traffic patterns and identify malicious access.
Explore opportunities to integrate AI-based monitoring and pattern recognition tools.
Support the implementation of Zero Trust and continuous monitoring practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience in Linux system administration within a web hosting or enterprise IT environment.
Experience with Apache/Nginx, FTP/SFTP, DNS management, and firewall configuration.
Basic familiarity with Drupal (8–11) and experience supporting content management systems.
Working knowledge of Bash scripting, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience supporting Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience supporting federal web hosting environments or working with DOJ, DHS, or other cabinet-level agencies.
Familiarity with AI-based monitoring, bot mitigation, or cloud security analytics.
Understanding of FedRAMP, FISMA, and Zero Trust security principles.
Exposure to New Relic, Splunk, or Akamai CDN for performance monitoring.
Linux certifications (CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or similar).
Active DOJ or federal agency clearance.
