💰 $120,000 - $230,000 per year
About the role
- Defend clients across a broad spectrum of general and professional liability matters
- Investigate claims and defenses, assess liability and damages, and strategize case handling
- Conduct legal research and analysis, draft letters, memos, motions, and pleadings
- Prepare discovery requests/responses and participate in depositions
- Represent clients at conferences, hearings, mediations, and trials or arbitrations
- Collaborate closely with partners, associates, paralegals, clients, and opposing counsel
- Maintain approximately 1,850 billable hours annually
- Engage closely with clients and grow professionally in a supportive, inclusive environment
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
- Active California bar admission in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general and/or professional liability litigation
- Strong written and oral communication skills with keen attention to detail
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling court appearances, depositions, and mediations
- Understanding of state and federal litigation procedures
- Trial experience is a plus, but not required
- Maintain approximately 1,850 billable hours annually
