About the role
- Serve as the Senior Project Manager for complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to Matrix’s standards of excellence.
- Act as a technical expert, Professional Geologist or Engineer of Record (PE) for complex subsurface investigations and remedial design projects.
- Lead and inspire a team of junior and mid-level engineers. Foster a culture of ownership, helping "Doers" within the firm develop their own "Seller" skill sets.
- Perform high-level technical reviews of designs, permits, and reports to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 15 years of experience in the environmental industry, with a proven track record of bringing in $1M+ in annual revenue through client relationships.
- Technical Domain: Deep expertise in at least one Matrix core area: Hydrogeology, Environmental Remediation, or Brownfield Redevelopment.
- Licensure: Professional Geologist, NJ Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license are preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and "storytelling" abilities—the ability to translate complex engineering challenges into value-driven solutions for clients.
