About the role

  • Ensures accuracy of inventory through daily review of inventory transactional movement of raw materials, work in process and finished goods are completed in SAP in a timely manner.
  • Review inventory control and inventory accounting processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend/implement changes that will create a culture of accurate inventory control and accounting functions.
  • Verify, reconcile and trouble shoot daily APL/SAP production and inventory transactions.
  • Performs inventory analysis and reconciliation for raw materials, work in process, finished goods and work with all parties involved to resolve variances.
  • Review production reports for accuracy of APL/SAP transactions, work with production departments on variances and closing production work orders.
  • Act as a resource in SAP related issues and concerns and be considered the site expert in all systematic transactional activities regarding materials, product and consumption.
  • Organize and act as the lead person for the conduct of tagged and physical inventories at the plant and external warehouses.
  • Manage and lead the conduct of weekly cycle counts at the plant and external warehouses in close coordination with Logistics Team Leader.
  • Data collection to verify Bill of Materials (BOMs) include all necessary items and at the correct quantities.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationship with all parties involved in the inventory control and accounting functions.
  • Train all required Team Members on inventory and transactional practices.
  • Communicate with management, purchasing, and production teams on all levels of inventory management.

Requirements

  • Five + years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Two + years of experience with inventory management required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree or higher in logistics, business, accounting or related discipline preferred and can be used in place of manufacturing and/or inventory experience on a year to year ratio.
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn new or advanced programs as required.
  • Employee must be punctual and reliable.
  • Availability to work variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
