About the role
- Lead architecture governance and ensure compliance with standards across 4–5 projects
- Evaluate vendor technologies and integrate solutions into Xcel’s environment
- Participate in RFP evaluations, vendor demos, and solution selection
- Develop high-level and detailed technical designs to meet business requirements
- Conduct performance and reliability testing for enterprise solutions
- Collaborate with system integrators, project managers, and business stakeholders
- Ensure regulatory and security compliance for all solutions
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Solution, Project, Group, or Enterprise Architect
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, DoDAF)
- Strong background in solution implementation and architecture governance
- Experience with GIS platforms (Smallworld, ESRI)
- Developer-to-Architect career progression
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
