About the role
- Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial records while maintaining strong financial discipline and supporting the implementation of appropriate internal controls.
- Support P&L management by analyzing financial performance and identifying key drivers.
- Conduct variance analysis and contribute to budgeting and planning processes in collaboration with department leaders.
- Maintain cash flow forecasts and support liquidity management, ensuring visibility into the company’s financial position.
- Proactively identify risks and areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports that are accurate, clear, and actionable.
- Translate financial data into insights to support leadership decision-making.
- Support relationships with banks, financial partners, and vendors.
- Coordinate with external accountants and advisors for tax and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting.
- Contribute to building scalable finance operations and supporting future team growth.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations, currently operating at a Manager level
- Experience supporting (or partially owning) P&L reporting and cash flow management
- Experience working in small to mid-sized companies (ideally under ~75 employees)
- Experience leading or mentoring small teams (2–5 members)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly
- Hands-on experience with financial systems (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Proven ability to improve processes and operate effectively in lean environments
- Strong ownership mindset with a willingness to execute and problem-solve
