About the role
- Provides specialized technical and analytical support for an operational area of revenue management.
- Work assignments are complex and responsible requiring a depth of knowledge in an area of specialization.
- Conducts impact analyses and modeling, assesses trends, develops projections, and prepares detailed written summaries for management review.
- Participates in defining project plans and goals; manages and/or leads small projects or portions of projects.
- Designs, develops, implements, and maintains systems that provide financial, statistical, and operational information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Informatic or related field
- 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible operational or consulting experience in revenue management (e.g., reimbursement, payer contracting)
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Visio)
- Some knowledge and experience of the healthcare industry or hospital financial operations.
- Candidates with experience in Medicare bad debt and Medicare DSH reimbursement preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, evaluative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop appropriate methods to collect, analyze and report data.
