About the role
- Perform various therapeutic procedures including advanced practice procedures such as operating balloon pumps and working in NICU.
- Perform Pulmonary Function testing.
- Provides professional leadership in the delivery of patient care.
- Use "AIDET" principles when interfacing/treating every patient throughout the organization.
- Provide a consistent experience to patients, families, and visitors using key communication techniques.
- Maintain safe respiratory therapy practices and alert management of any safety issues.
- Participate in patient rounds and ensure treatments are provided in accordance with physician orders.
Requirements
- Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
- Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
- Ability to complete the orientation and training.
- 2 years of current experience working in an acute setting (hospital not nursing home or rehab)
- Must be RT licensed.
