About the role
- Process payroll cycles, audit payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate updates related to hires, terminations, and compensation changes
- Review and process assigned vendor invoices and employee expense reports, verify approvals and coding, and reconcile vendor statements
- Assist with payroll tax reporting, documentation, and compliance tracking
- Support audit activities by compiling financial data and preparing reports
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity for assigned accounts
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a government contracting finance or accounting environment
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing, accounts payable, and employee expense reports
- Strong understanding of compliance, documentation, and audit readiness standards
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial data
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
- Professional communication skills when coordinating with internal teams and vendors
- Experience with Unanet is a strong plus, and familiarity with ADP or similar payroll systems is highly valued
