About the role
- Collaborate with clinical and enabling programs, as well as key community partners to develop and facilitate priority clinical and operational integration projects and initiatives
- Exercise critical and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment, which incorporates health system planning, delivery of high-quality care, patient experience and operational effectiveness
- Lead and/or support elements of project approach and plan development, as well as implementing necessary processes and practices to ensure the hospital is delivering project objectives and successfully achieving the project's goals
- Develop and implement processes (including establishing appropriate governance structures) to oversee the project’s deliverables
- Lead and/or support the development of materials, such as reports, briefing notes, requests for proposals, presentations, data analyses and communications for the project(s)
- Lead the development and dissemination of project control documents, including status reports, risk/issue analyses and project plans
- Monitor and report on progress, problems and solutions of the project to all participants and project sponsors and escalate issues as appropriate
- Engage with external project supports and act as a key point of contact for coordination of activities
- Build trusted relationships with partners and subject matter experts to advance key initiatives
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood
- Ensure ongoing integrated risk identification, evaluation, and monitoring, particularly as related to integration and complex change management
- Other duties assigned, as required to meet timelines and deliverables
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required; business, life sciences, health informatics or related discipline preferred
- Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, healthcare administration or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management in healthcare environments such as hospitals, government or private sector required
- Strong understanding of the hospital’s strategic plan
- Strong leadership, adaptability, interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential for this role, including the ability to build strong relationships
- Experience with project management processes and best practices
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs of senior leaders
- Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with teams, including supporting collaborative design of products with cross-functional groups
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians.
