About the role

  • Manage the full set of financial accounting in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
  • Take full responsibility for monthly and annual closings in accordance with Swiss GAAP and the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
  • Maintain the general ledger, subledgers and fixed assets accounting
  • Perform account reconciliations, provisions and accruals
  • Support internal and external audits and liaise with auditors
  • Prepare and review Swiss VAT (MWST) returns
  • Analyze financial data and prepare management reports
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and optimize accounting processes

Requirements

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship with further training in Accounting/Finance
  • Several years of professional experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role
  • Proven experience in independently performing complete financial closings
  • Solid knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
  • Proficient in ERP systems
  • Structured, analytical and independent working style
  • High level of accuracy, reliability and sense of responsibility
  • Fluent German; business‑fluent English
