About the role
- Provide timely, relevant and cost ‑ effective legal advice across disputes, litigation, regulatory matters, commercial risks and general legal exposures
- Manage and support litigation, arbitration and expert determinations including assisting with strategy, negotiations and settlement discussions
- Deliver legal services for regulatory investigations and inquiries, ensuring the organisation is appropriately advised and represented
- Oversee design and construction defect claims on major projects, providing strategic guidance and legal oversight
- Support claims ‑ prevention initiatives and maintain awareness of business activities to proactively identify legal risks
- Prepare and contribute to board and stakeholder reporting and manage external legal advisors and specialist third ‑ party experts
Requirements
- 4+ years post ‑ qualification experience, ideally in disputes, claims management, regulatory investigations, construction or infrastructure matters, with strong technical legal capability
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate legal risks, propose early solutions and interpret complex commercial concepts with an enterprise mindset
- Excellent relationship ‑ building, communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational and time ‑ management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities in high ‑ pressure environments
