About the role
- Manage daily operations of the cryogenic trailer repair shop, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Supervise, train, and mentor technicians and shop personnel.
- Ensure maintenance and repair work meets CTR quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of cryogenic trailers, vessels, piping, valves, and related systems.
- Enforce safety policies, OSHA requirements, and DOT regulations at all times.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and manage repair turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate records for repairs, inspections, certifications, and parts usage.
- Manage inventory, tooling, and vendor relationships to support shop operations.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer service teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
- Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Experience working with cryogenic equipment, LNG, industrial gas, or pressure vessels
- Welding knowledge or certifications (ASME, AWS a plus)
- Familiarity with quality systems and inspection documentation
- CDL or knowledge of trailer roadworthiness requirements
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and preventative maintenance practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems and basic computer applications
