About the role
- Work within the Engineering & Maintenance Division to maintain and renew civil rail infrastructure across the Sydney Trains network
- Plan, deliver and complete civil infrastructure projects in the rail corridor including bridges, platforms, culverts, embankments, drainage and other structural assets
- Develop initial cost estimates and construction schedules
- Coordinate work on-site and support the commissioning process
- Work alongside project managers, engineers and construction teams to ensure technical specifications and safety standards are met and work completed to time and quality expectations
- Help deliver infrastructure that improves reliability and service for Sydney Trains customers
Requirements
- Relevant engineering qualifications
- Background in civil, infrastructure, or construction projects (ideally within the rail industry)
- Comfortable interpreting technical documents
- Experience working on active construction sites
- Experience managing interfaces between stakeholders
- Experience conducting quality assurance activities
- Ability to work across teams and contribute to a positive safety culture
- Motivation to develop skills and contribute to major public infrastructure projects
