About the role
- Lead integrated operational planning, coordination, and management of rollingstock resources, maintenance schedules, and supply chain operations ensuring fleet availability, reliability, and performance
- Translate long-term fleet and asset requirements into operational capacity, budgets, and schedules while directing effective allocation of parts, materials, and resources for planned and condition-based maintenance delivery
- Develop and oversee comprehensive strategic and operational rollingstock planning, scheduling, and budgeting optimizing asset and resource utilization
- Develop, implement, and manage warehousing, logistics, and supply chain strategy for Sydney Trains' Rolling Stock Branch ensuring safe, reliable, cost-effective fleet support
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, logistics, and inventory management ensuring timely, reliable access to parts and materials
- Lead input to Asset Management and Annual Works Programs aligning maintenance with enterprise planning
- Build effective relationships with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders securing operational resilience and performance improvements
Requirements
- Significant experience in strategic forward planning and resource management in heavy infrastructure operations
- Proven track record managing complex supply chains in dynamic operational environments
- Demonstrated success optimizing maintenance delivery, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Strong engagement skills navigating complex scenarios with competing stakeholder priorities
- Capability using analytics, forecasts, and insights to drive performance
- Experience managing budgets, procurement, and cost-effective operations
- Track record leading and empowering teams to deliver business outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience
