About the role
- Play a pivotal role in shaping how our bus, ferry, light rail, and maritime assets are managed and assured.
- Lead the development and implementation of asset strategies for the Corridor and Civil discipline of the portfolio.
- Provide outcome-based technical expertise, solutions and decision-making on asset management, engineering, governance, planning, and assurance-related matters
- Ensure asset management practices, decision-making and investments align with asset strategies and optimise the balance of lifecycle cost, risk and performance
- Ensure vertical alignment between Government and organisational objectives with day to day activities, and horizontal alignment between internal/external roles
- Uplift asset management maturity by driving change through people, processes and systems in support of the discipline.
- Influence leaders and decision-makers— this is a leadership role ideal for someone who drives change and realises outcomes through strategic engagement and partnering with experts through the asset lifecycle.
Requirements
- expertise in developing and implementing lifecycle strategies that integrate multiple disciplines (e.g. engineering, commercial, operations, maintenance etc) into a coherent whole
- deep understanding of asset management and ISO 55000 series standards and their application in an operational and customer focussed environment
- aptitude for navigating competing interests and influencing decision-making in a complex and constrained environment
