- In this role, you'll: Work closely with the Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo), who is leading the design, delivery and coordination of NSW's Renewable Energy Zones.
- The NSW Government introduced its Climate Change (Net Zero Future) Act in 2023.
- The Climate Change Act commits New South Wales to cutting greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030 and reaching net zero by 2050.
- Construction of the transmission infrastructure and generation projects in Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) will require delivery of large and heavy components via the State Road network.
- We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Civil Engineer or equivalent) to lead the planning and delivery of transport solutions that enable the safe movement of critical renewable energy infrastructure across NSW.
- This role is central to supporting the state’s Renewable Energy Zones (REZ), managing the development and delivery of works to enable the transportation of oversize and over-mass (OSOM) components such as wind turbine towers, blades, transformers and synchronous condensers.
- This is a Temporary Full-Time role until 1st August 2026.
- A current driver licence and capacity to travel across NSW are required.
Requirements
- Civil engineering, project and contract management expertise.
- Sound understanding of road design, geotechnical and environmental processes from development/delivery background.
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments including DPIE, EnergyCo, road authorities, asset managers and external proponents.
- Experience with the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) process and project lifecycle documentation (Gate 0–6).
- Resilient and adaptable leadership with excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven track record of developing and/or delivering complex transport or infrastructure projects, influencing outcomes across multiple agencies, and driving process improvements.
- A current driver licence and capacity to travel across NSW.
