About the role
- Lead a team of up to 6 data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence
- Set the technical direction, coach talent, and drive innovation while ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Build and deploy next-generation AI solutions for medical and legal documents processing, management and creation
- Define the roadmap for generative AI initiatives in collaboration with product partners, ensuring alignment with company strategy and measurable business outcomes
- Guide the design, implementation, and deployment of generative AI workflows for document information extraction and document generation use cases
- Partner with Product, AI/ML Engineering, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for applying generative AI
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Influence product roadmaps by showcasing the business impact of generative AI initiatives
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 6+ years of experience in data science or machine learning
- At least 2+ years in a leadership/managerial role
- Hands-on expertise in generative AI technologies
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data/ML toolchains
- Proven track record of delivering production-ready AI/ML systems
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
