About the role
- Oversee performance, security, and reliability of all corporate and property-level systems, including PMS, POS, network infrastructure, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams).
- Own and support the hotel technology stack, including PMS (Opera), POS systems, CRS integrations, and key operational platforms across the portfolio.
- Responsible for system integrations with Marriott and serves as the liaison for Trailborn on successful tech stack integrations as needed.
- Serve as the primary IT liaison- ensuring compliance, connectivity, and optimization across Marriott systems.
- Manage relationships with third-party IT vendors and managed service providers, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and cost control.
- Lead system implementations, upgrades, conversions, and integrations, particularly during property transitions, openings, and brand changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues impacting property operations, guest experience, or revenue systems.
- Establish and maintain IT policies, cybersecurity protocols, data protection standards, and PCI compliance across all systems.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, HR, and Commercial teams to support business initiatives and ensure technology alignment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-unit environments.
- Strong working knowledge of hotel systems (PMS, POS, CRS, network infrastructure, cloud platforms).
- Experience supporting Marriott systems and brand standards preferred.
- Experience managing vendors and outsourced IT support models.
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a lean environment.
