About the role
- Own the entire lifecycle of company and team offsite meetings, from ideation and goal-setting to logistics, vendor management, budget oversight, and post-event reporting.
- Manage key employee experience moments; including milestone celebrations, recognition initiatives, and offboarding processes that leave a lasting positive impression.
- Develop and execute programs that reinforce Trail of Bits' unique culture, supporting our values of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across a distributed workforce.
- Create opportunities for employees to connect and build relationships, including virtual events, team-building activities, wellness programs, and community-building initiatives.
- Serve as a collaborative partner to the broader People Operations team, providing backup and support for core HR functions including benefits administration, leave management, employee inquiries, and other people processes as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with event agencies, travel partners, venues, and other vendors to ensure high-quality experiences while managing costs effectively.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in employee experience, employee engagement, internal events, HR, or a similar people-focused role, ideally in a tech or high-growth environment.
- Proven track record of planning and executing in-person and virtual events, team offsites, or company gatherings for distributed teams.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; you're comfortable partnering with leaders at all levels and building relationships across a remote organization.
- Data-informed mindset with experience gathering employee feedback and translating insights into actionable improvements.
- Familiarity with remote work tools (Slack, Trello, Google Workspace, and more).
- Creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment and takes initiative.
