About the role
- Continuously assess and manage the firm's market risk exposure across various asset classes and trading platforms
- Ensure positions remain within risk limits and hedge excess exposures where necessary
- Analyse client trading patterns and behaviours to inform classification and risk management strategies
- Conduct stress testing, VaR, back-testing, and scenario analysis
- Collaborate to enhance risk framework models, dashboards, automated monitoring/alerting tools, data analytics and reporting systems
- Deal with trade and order referrals and manage corporate actions and dividends
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations across multiple licenses and jurisdictions
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in financial markets
- Experience in data analysis within a financial environment
- Strong proficiency with analytical software such as Python, SQL, and VBA
- Knowledge of risk management tools and trading platforms
- Strong numerical, technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to form strong bonds and work effectively as part of a wider risk team
- Capacity to present risk findings to senior stakeholders clearly and concisely
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Interest and understanding of derivative products, leverage structures, and hedging strategies (preferred)
