About the role
- Design, deploy and configure cloud services to support cloud migrations, Active Directory and application configurations in a zero trust environment.
- Implement and deploy security architectures supporting managed service offerings
- Participate in deployment and implementation planning with team technical leaders and customers
- Directly interact with customers to understand, identity and resolve issues with existing deployments.
- Produce internal and customer facing documentation for the configuration and use of deployed systems.
- Using continuous integration technologies of code build, code deploy, code pipeline, Jenkins and Rundeck to automate administrative tasks and environment management.
- Understanding routing and network basics of the OSI model in a multiple cloud private connected network including ensuring zero trust networking is maintained
- Provides oral and written communication within a team and to external customers with positive outlook on providing solutions
- Responsible for analyzing, design and implementing designed architecture in an AWS cloud environment
- Provide feedback and revisions to customer-based requirements when core program direction and requirements do not align
- Ability to troubleshoot, develop and deploy application and system containerization in the form of Docker images
- Configures and manages images for program and security requirements including automated image updates
- Investigates and tests new cloud technologies to meet requirements and program needs
- Ability to build strong and friendly relationships with partners, stakeholders and customers to limit escalated issues
- Will work as a self-starter who can work as part of a virtual team and remain motivated in a dynamic environment and positively influence team communication
- Documents clearly all required procedures and configuration changes to production systems
Requirements
- 3 plus years professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site reliability engineer, system administrator or similar role
- Experience deploying multiple systems, applications and services within an AWS Environment
- AWS associate or higher certification or the ability to obtain within a month of starting
- Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within a month of starting
- Experience with providing systems metrics, root cause analysis and proactive monitoring
- Experience in Linux and Windows system administration
- Experience with Code repositories of Git including pull requests and multiple origin-based repositories.
- Experience with AWS services, including writing and deploying infrastructure as code written in Ansible and Python CDK
- Experience or training on Zero Trust architectures including skills outlined in CompTIA Security+
