About the role

  • Support critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) and Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II
  • Work closely with software development teams and platform engineers to enable software developers to continuously deliver value while exceeding customer needs for stability and security of mission critical services and environments
  • Automate application containerization via CI/CD pipelines and orchestrate containers in a Kubernetes environment
  • Improve development workflow and developer quality of life, and increase overall security and stability of Kubernetes clusters
  • Develop and integrate full-stack applications and support containerized/cloud platforms while implementing DevSecOps practices
  • Provision and manage Kubernetes clusters, handle application deployment and scaling, and secure the Kubernetes environment
  • Create multistage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Atlassian Bamboo) to automate aspects of the software development lifecycle

Requirements

  • Active Secret Required
  • Must have or obtain within 60 days of start date IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
  • Must have 3 years or more of directly related experience
  • Must have a deep understanding of Kubernetes, including provisioning and application deployment/scaling
  • Experience securing a Kubernetes environment
  • Must have an understanding of application containerization (Docker)
  • Experience with Shell Scripting, such as Bash
  • Experience creating multistage CI/CD pipelines to automate aspects of the software development lifecycle, using tools such as Atlassian Bamboo
  • Must have an understanding of microservice architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills (preferred)
  • Excellent written communication and technical writing skills (preferred)
  • Experience developing, integrating, and maintaining full-stack applications (preferred)
  • Experience developing application front-ends using React or other JavaScript-based web frameworks (preferred)
  • Experience with JavaScript / Typescript / React project management tools, such as npm or yarn (preferred)
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) within a DevSecOps pipeline (preferred)
  • Experience utilizing Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools and adjudicating vulnerabilities (preferred)
  • Experience using JPA for object persistence (preferred)
  • Experience working with Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ (preferred)
  • Experience migrating monolithic applications to a microservices architecture (preferred)
  • Experience working on CCIC2S applications (preferred)
