  • Monitor and manage costs across the business; build dashboards to track burn, unit economics, margins, and ROI.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support growth and strategic decision-making.
  • Identify, research, and manage grants, subsidies, and non-dilutive financing opportunities (healthcare, innovation, government, and nonprofit).

  • Improve and document financial processes, controls, and policies as the company scales.
  • Partner with operations, clinical, and leadership teams to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Manage relationships with external partners (RCM vendors, accountants, auditors, banks, grant administrators).
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare, reimbursement, and financial reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A, ideally in healthcare, health tech, or services-based businesses.
  • Hands-on experience with RCM, healthcare billing, or payer-based revenue models is strongly preferred.
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounting foundation; you must be comfortable owning the books, not just reviewing them.

  • Demonstrated experience with grants, non-dilutive funding, or supporting fundraising/debt financing efforts.
  • Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills; experience with modern accounting and finance tools.

  • Clear communicator who can explain complex financials to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Professional Designation: CPA, CFA, or MBA (Nice to Have).
  • Payer Knowledge: Deep experience in Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance-based reimbursement models (Nice to Have).
  • Mission Alignment: Prior experience at a fast-growing startup or mission-driven organization (Nice to Have).
