About the role

  • Shape Adult Social Care delivery approach for the future.
  • Work with statutory DASS role and Divisional Directors of Adult Social Care.
  • Build strong and meaningful relationships with the community.
  • Oversee the provision of good quality statutory community services.
  • Make a difference to lives of residents in Torbay.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and present it clearly in various formats.
  • Skilled in project planning, prioritising, and managing competing demands.
  • Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in using IT systems and tools to support transformation.
  • Senior-level experience in service transformation within health or social care.
  • Strong understanding of Adult Social Care statutory frameworks and policy.
  • Experience of managing complex projects and leading change across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equality, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Significant knowledge and experience of project management.
  • Ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
