Lead the full sales cycle—from lead generation and customer engagement to negotiation, installation coordination, and post-sale follow-up.
Identify and engage potential customers, establishing contact with key decision-makers and building long-term relationships.
Execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue, product mix, and profitability targets.
Drive market development by initiating and nurturing new business opportunities in the upcoming deposit return system in Portugal.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to client needs.
Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively, ensuring alignment with TOMRA’s commercial goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and satisfaction.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform and adapt sales strategies; provide regular reporting on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts.
Represent TOMRA at industry events and trade shows, enhancing brand visibility.
Requirements
Business acumen and the ability to make commercially sound decisions.
A proactive, self-driven approach to identifying and developing sales opportunities.
4+ years of successful sales experience in technical/mechanical equipment industries, ideally within modern grocery retail.
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets and building long-term client relationships.
Strong understanding of Sales & Service models; solution-oriented and trustworthy; good knowledge of the Portuguese market.
Fluent in Portuguese and English (Spanish a plus).
Able to work independently and in teams.
Environmentally conscious with a passion for sustainability.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; sales certifications and valid driver’s license are advantages.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
