About the role
- Handle litigated and non-litigated claims primarily arising under Auto and General Liability
- Collaborate with outside counsel in analyzing and resolving claims within designated limits of authority
- Conduct investigation and analysis of liability and damages exposure
- Draft and issue coverage position letters and develop strategies for resolution of claims
- Determine probable loss exposure and establish reserves
- Maintain claim files and documents in accordance with Company policy
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant legal experience, with two-plus (2+) years of relevant claims handling preferred
- Active Adjuster’s License (or commitment to obtain within six months)
- Intermediate proficiency and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
