About the role
- Offer daily guidance and support to business partners on various intricate corporate matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and compliance issues.
- Create, assess, and negotiate intricate commercial contracts and agreements, including those related to SaaS technology.
- Provide insights on corporate legal rights, identify potential legal risks, and contribute to the formulation of effective business strategies.
- Work closely with business partners to negotiate contracts with both customers and vendors.
- Stay informed about the organization's operations and legal documentation to ensure a comprehensive understanding of relevant aspects.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in corporate transactions and business law at a reputable law firm or corporate environment; preference given to AmLaw 200 experience
- Proven experience with business law, corporate law, and commercial transactions
- Proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to provide strategic, business-oriented practical advice and solutions
- Ability to multi-task, with flexibility to manage changing priorities and projects under time constraints
- High attention to detail, organization, efficiency and preparedness
- Proficiency in drafting agreements
- Strong knowledge of technology industry preferred
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to a state bar
