About the role
- Lead the monthly and annual close process, including reconciliations, account analysis, and preparation of financial statements, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Maintain the company’s general ledger and supporting documentation to preserve the integrity of financial records
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen financial operations
- Oversee member invoicing, accounts receivable collections, accounts payable, and vendor payments to improve cash flow and operational efficiency
- Manage multi-state sales tax requirements and reporting to ensure ongoing compliance
- Monitor treasury functions and company spending to support strong financial stewardship
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget to contribute to organizational planning
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members to build a high-performing team
- Prepare schedules and maintain required documentation for the annual audit to support a successful audit process
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 50 employees to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
- Take ownership of additional projects and responsibilities as business needs evolve
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct, including data entry, invoicing, and reporting
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to perform ad hoc analysis and reporting
- Proven experience leading, supervising, or managing team members
- CPA certification (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (preferred)
- Experience using Ramp (preferred)
- Experience processing payroll through Paylocity (preferred)
