• Work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management.
• May also take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks.
• Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
• Performing and managing contaminated site assessments, remedy evaluation, including preparing investigation work plans, feasibility studies, removal action work plans, remedy design, and remedy implementation;
• Performing and managing site assessment fieldwork, pilot and bench-scale programs for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation technologies;
• Preparing remediation action plans for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation projects including drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and technical specifications;
• Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, and proposals;
• Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;
• Business development including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation efforts, and developing and implementing a business development plan for supporting the growth of the Overland Park office;
• Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties;
• Preparing and/or reviewing/managing written document production (including proposals, technical reports, engineering designs and specifications, and/or presentations);
• At times, the job may also include fieldwork such as site visits and meetings, contractor oversight, and audits associated with site investigation and remediation activities.
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

Accounts Payable

• Perform various accounting functions of basic to moderate complexity
• Ensure that procedures and practices are being followed in accordance with company policy, accounting principles, and contractual obligations
• Coding, paying, and filing duties of direct bill vendor payables
• Interaction with Company suppliers, vendors, and employees
• Reconcile A/P accounts by preparing reports to show receipts, expenditures, receivables, and payables

• Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools
• Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
• Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures
• Follow instructions from and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel
• Potential for fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling and contractor oversight
• Responsible for coordinating transportation to and from the office; and local travel or driving to project sites as needed
