About the role
- Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing, and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;
- Stormwater permitting and regulatory compliance, including MS4, IGP, and CGP permit support;
- Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment;
- In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring program development and implementation;
- Applying innovative hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D transport models;
- Technical document preparation, including technical writing and creation of exhibits and maps;
- Interacting with client representatives.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering or natural resources science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E., P.G. CPESC, CPSWG). (preferred)
- At least 2 years (5+ preferred) of experience in a water resource consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Strong technical writing and communication skills. (required)
- An outstanding track record for client management and technical leadership. (required)
- Project experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements related to stormwater management. (required)
- An understanding of urban sources and fate and transport processes for typical stormwater pollutants. (required)
- A general understanding of stormwater BMPs (selection, performance, and design). (preferred)
- Experience with modeling and design software tools such as SWMM, SUSTAIN, HEC-RAS, SBPAT, LSPC, HSPF, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD. (preferred)
- Experience working on demanding, sophisticated, and legally sensitive projects. (preferred)
