About the role

  • Civil design, landfill design, and site layout
  • Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage
  • Dam inspections, evaluation, and design
  • Geotechnical and environmental site characterization
  • Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems
  • Project/task management and proposal preparation support
  • Construction quality assurance oversight and management
  • Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications
  • Fieldwork associated with design and construction services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, water resources or geotechnical engineering or a related field (required)
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.) (required)
  • At least 7 years (8+ preferred) of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
  • Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software (e.g., seepage and slope stability) (required)
  • Knowledge of numerical modeling tools (preferred)
  • Design and construction experience (required)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
