About the role
- Civil design, landfill design, and site layout
- Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage
- Dam inspections, evaluation, and design
- Geotechnical and environmental site characterization
- Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems
- Project/task management and proposal preparation support
- Construction quality assurance oversight and management
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications
- Fieldwork associated with design and construction services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil, water resources or geotechnical engineering or a related field (required)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.) (required)
- At least 7 years (8+ preferred) of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software (e.g., seepage and slope stability) (required)
- Knowledge of numerical modeling tools (preferred)
- Design and construction experience (required)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
