About the role
- Civil design and site layout;
- Monitoring heavy civil construction projects;
- Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage;
- Dam and levee evaluations;
- Geotechnical and site characterization;
- Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
- Project/task management and proposal preparation support;
- Developing construction documents;
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications;
- Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field (required)
- Advanced degree in the same (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.) (required)
- At least 7 years directly relevant experience in a consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software (e.g., slope stability) (required)
- Knowledge of numerical modeling tools (preferred)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed (required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills (required)
- Field work and overnight travel may be required.
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
