About the role
- Assist with planning, budgeting implementing investigation and remediation projects, quality, and client satisfaction;
- Assist with preparing and/or implementing remediation designs and strategies for soil, sediment, and groundwater remediation projects
- Assist with mentoring of junior staff;
- Provide senior technical guidance and direction to mid-level and junior level staff.
- Assist with work plan development, data evaluation, and technical report writing on a variety of contaminated site assessment, remediation, and operations and maintenance projects;
- Reviewing written document as part of production;
- Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties;
- At times, job may also include fieldwork including assisting with drilling oversight.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil or chemical engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field of study (required)
- Advanced degree in a similar field of study (preferred)
- Professional certification (i.e., P.E./P.G./LSP) (required)
- At least 15 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- Detailed understanding of soil and groundwater remediation regulations (required)
- Extensive experience working with industrial and chemical manufacturing sites
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed (required)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
