About the role

  • Developing remedial strategies and site-specific closure strategies
  • Managing complex site investigation and remediation implementation efforts for a variety of project sites
  • Managing challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management
  • Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to facilitate repeat business
  • Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability
  • Management and mentoring of early career staff and managing subcontractors
  • Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing
  • Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
  • Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or a related field
  • Advanced degree in earth science, environmental engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.) if applicable
  • At least 10 years (15+ preferred) of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
