About the role
- Fieldwork such as soil, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance.
- Treatment system commissioning, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
- Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation.
- Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting.
- Preparation of technical specifications and contract documents for construction.
- CAD design and drafting of design/construction documents.
- Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.
- Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (required)
- Advanced degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (preferred)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification (preferred)
- Prior professional or internship experience in environmental consulting (preferred)
- Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology (preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Office, ArcView, AutoCAD, and/or Civil 3D (preferred)
- Ability to perform regular field work (approximately 50%) and overnight travel (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
