About the role
- Interact with growers and ag retailers daily
- Teach clients how technologies can improve agriculture productivity
- Generate leads through cold calls and follow-up visits
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects and customers
- Function as on-farm consultant, providing solutions based on grower's needs
- Initiate field demonstrations and coordinate seasonal crop tours
- Represent the brand at events and assist in deploying campaigns to distributors and key accounts
- Develop and implement action plans to identify sales targets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field
- At least 2 years experience in agriculture (i.e. farming and/or agronomy)
- B2B sales and/or consulting experience, preferably in agriculture or agronomy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven and independent yet a team player
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of industry trends, products, and market conditions
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory up to 5 days per week
