About the role

  • Responsible for performing specialized maintenance and operation of mobile network systems.
  • Perform specialized-level maintenance and operation of network elements and services within the area of responsibility;
  • Analyze and execute configuration requests (MOP), resolve medium- and high-complexity issues, and handle corrective tickets for network elements within scope;
  • Perform acceptance testing for new network elements and services (ATP and PQR);
  • Deploy, manage and troubleshoot network devices in virtualized environments;
  • Ensure, together with the monitoring team, the deployment and proper functioning of monitoring integrations;
  • Provide support and manage the implementation and activation of engineering projects;
  • Support the engineering team with occasional validations at the TIM Lab for solutions or equipment within the network scope;
  • Analyze and resolve faults related to implemented configurations and provide support for network failures detected in normal production operations;
  • Provide occasional support to the network monitoring team and the Innovation Labs area;
  • Work on-call and participate in emergency shifts according to area schedule;
  • Execute scheduled activities during maintenance windows (between 22:00 and 07:00);
  • Develop scripts and processes for automation to increase efficiency and reduce task execution time.

Requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting Core Network elements (medium and low complexity issues) and IP networks (routers and switches);
  • Experience in operations and maintenance support for telecommunications operators;
  • Experience in convergent environments covering fixed and mobile networks;
  • Experience validating new solutions in production environments;
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Unix, etc.) and experience with datacenter infrastructure equipment (servers, storage, switches, routers, etc.);
  • Knowledge of databases: SQL, MongoDB, NoSQL, MySQL, among others;
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Shell Script, Python, Ansible, etc.);
  • Knowledge of STP and TCP/IP protocols, application and routing protocols: DNS, DHCP, FTP, SFTP, NTP, SSH, SNMP, OSPF, and advanced knowledge of signaling protocols SIGTRAN, SIP, SS7 (Camel, MAP, ISUP, INAP), Diameter;
  • Experience with datacenter NMS monitoring tools such as HPE OpenView and Zabbix, and experience managing network devices in virtualized environments;
  • Availability to work night shifts (5x2 rotation with weekend on-call);
  • University degree (Bachelor's) completed
