About the role

  • Responsible for performing maintenance and specialized operations on mobile and primary fixed network systems, providing level 2 and 3 support for corrective processes in TIM's Transport network.
  • Support the technical training of monitoring and level 1 handling teams, and participate in the automation of monitoring and troubleshooting processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve simple and complex faults in transport protection, routing and resilience protocols.
  • Interact with 3rd-level Support, Engineering, OSS and Vendors, when necessary.
  • Perform interventions on the following layers: BBIP — Access, Aggregation and Core; Routers — PE, Edge, Access, Shadow, Edge Core, Outer Core and Inner Core; Switches — Aggregation, Access and Distribution; UBB — MSAN, access/distribution Service Router and BRAS; Wi‑Fi — AP up to WLC; Multiservice Metro Full IP MPLS network — Access, Aggregation, Distribution and Core.
  • Perform interventions on equipment and technologies such as PDH, PTN, SDH, NG‑SDH, WDM, ROADM, Metro Ethernet and related systems.
  • Participate in projects, processes, tooling and qualification (homologation) of new solutions.
  • Prepare ticket reports, analyses and inputs for Solution Management.
  • Train 1st and 2nd level teams to align and standardize knowledge across the area.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of software, hardware, Linux and Windows; knowledge of network design and architecture.
  • Knowledge of fiber optics, reference levels and testing instruments.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience with transmission (TX) technologies such as PDH, PTN, SDH, NG‑SDH, WDM, ROADM, Metro Ethernet, etc.
  • Experience with data protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VoIP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EAPS, xSTP, Metro Ethernet, UBB, etc.
  • Knowledge of the OSS tools used by the company is desirable.
  • Knowledge of mobile networks (2G, 3G, 4G) and VAS is desirable.
  • Relevant certifications in the field are desirable.
  • University degree completed.
  • Availability to work morning shifts in a 5x2 schedule with weekend on-call/standby.
