About the role
- Perform accounting activities and support the preparation of consolidated financial reports
- Responsible for a full range of professional accounting duties
- Complete procedures to implement and support accurate inventory accounting
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and support the production of financial statements
- Support company Controllers in preparation of monthly account reconciliations
- Review financial activity in key areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and benefits and taxes
- Collect and review monthly closing documentation for consolidation and audit
- Do accounting research to determine proper accounting methods
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal control environment
- Prepare documentation to support completion of audits and tax returns
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 6+ years of related experience, preferably in both public accounting and/or dynamic private company manufacturing environments
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
- Exhibits a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite of products
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and balance priorities
- Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and pride in delivering quality results
- High level knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and cost accounting
- Proven ability to effectively navigate various accounting and reporting software platforms.
