About the role
- researches and analyzes complex market-related equity information from internal and external sources
- advises the firm's portfolio managers in search of investment opportunities for the firm's various equity research growth portfolios
- covers existing portfolio holdings
- evaluates and interprets complex data for equity growth trends
- advises management on new or potentially new product or service development
- reviews research of securities of target industries and companies to provide investment recommendations
- researches the necessary valuation, risk assessment and portfolio construction techniques required to drive the investment portfolio’s relative performance versus the benchmark
- authors equity research reports and publications to be presented to management
- monitors data on competitors and analyzes their investment strategies, prices, sales and method of operation to facilitate recommendations
- identifies and forecasts future investment trends with complex statistical data on past sales
- refines modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods or other principles
- oversees development, maintenance, and execution of portfolio models to assess potential investment opportunities
- coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level equity research professionals
Requirements
- 5+ years equity research and investing experience in the Medical Device sector required
- 7+ years preferred
