About the role
- Increase profitable sales in Eastern U.S geographies
- Service/develop customers with emphasis on major and target accounts
- Research and disposition customer problems and complaints
- Define and educate potential customers on company functions and capabilities
- Monitor and report industry trends to company management
- Develop a market plan for territory with quantifiable goals
- Schedule and perform sales calls and/or visits
- Conduct training sessions on product and services with customers and business unit employees
- Monitor customer forecasts and usage to help inside sales maintain inventory levels
- Continually increase knowledge of company products, services and procedures
Requirements
- 2-year college degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ Years outside sales experience in metals industry
- Completion/working towards 4-year degree (sales, business, marketing) preferred
- 10+ years outside sales experience preferred
- Experience in stainless and aluminum metal sales preferred
- Metallurgy training and/or experience preferred
- Public speaking experience preferred
- Computer literate
