About the role
- Performing the daily activities of the general accounting department
- Monitoring and analyzing general ledger accounts and financial statements
- Supporting external audit and tax package preparation
- Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries and reports
- Participation in the monthly general ledger close and consolidation reporting
- Cross collaboration with Finance department and individual branches for financial reviews
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Providing support for audits and tax requests
- Routine accounting assignments including review and coding of invoices
- Creating and maintaining documentation on processes and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
- Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and internal controls
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to meet communicated deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Highly organized
